Operations Facilitaing Team

  Chairperson:  Bob Mason

The ministries in the Operations Ministry Area help us keep our physical property in good condition and provide the financial resources to carry out our ministries. Some of the teams that serve in this area call for short-term commitment, through budget-development and building clean-up days; others call for year round ministry like stewardship and fundraising programs. All of these ministries help us be a community that is welcoming and inviting to all who enter our space.

Handy Person Team
This group of handy people serves God by providing on-going maintenance of the church building including but not limited to painting, plumbing, and electrical work, replacing light bulbs, fixing what's broken, and monitoring the general upkeep of our property.

Facilities Visioning Team
The purpose of this team is to serve God by establishing a church facility that accommodates our present needs. This team also has the exciting task of looking 10, 20, and 100 years into the future as they imagine what our physical church might look like--and what physical needs we may have--for generations to come.

Environmental Ministry Team
This team serves God by helping the congregation 'go green' in our operations, and by educating members and friends about new green campaigns and movements that can be implicated at home.

Fundraising Team
This team manages all of the programs that benefit our general operating fund, including iGive... a fundraiser that you can participate in every day!

Want to kick things up a notch? when you search the web, do it through iSearch.iGive.com. Through this search engine, each search earns a penny (or more!) for our Plainfield Congregational UCC.

And don't forget to bring your used inkjet cartridges to church and put them in the recycle box in the office - we get paid for that too!
