Prayer Shawl Ministry

The Prayer Shawl Ministry has a long tradition at PCCUCC. Each completed shawl or blanket is blessed by the church and donated to an individual or family during a time of crisis or illness. Recipients of the shawls receive a letter that contains a blessing and a prayer card.

The group has knit hats and scarves for the Arctic Adventure Christmas party at Morning Star Mission.

Our 'Holy Hookers' meet weekly at the church on Tuesday mornings for knitting and crafting at 9:30 am. We have lots of laughter and fellowship as we create items that are symbols of God's presence.

Stephen's Ministry

Stephen Ministry is the one-to-one lay-person caring ministry that takes place in congregations that use the Stephen Series system.

At PCCUCC, we equip and empower lay-person caregivers—called Stephen Ministers—to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting.

If you would like to learn more about how to become a Stephen Minister or would like to speak to someone, contact our church office.

Food to Health Class

Join Craig Theimer's monthly class "Food to Health", on the last Sunday of the month from 4:00 - 5:30 pm.  Learn about healthy eating and cooking techniques.  Lots of delicious recipes will be shared!

We normally meet in Fellowship Hall, but occasionally we may hold classes at Peter Rubi's in Plainfield, just up the street from the church.  Call our church office for more information.

Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

- Galatians 6:2, NRSV

Book Club

Book Club meets every Thursday afternoon at 3:30 pm in the Kids Quest room. All are welcome to join!

Bible Study Series

Join us every spring and fall for dynamic and light-hearted Bible study series.

For our Lenten film series, we provide a light dinner, a movie, and an engaging discussion after the film.

Last fall we explored Barbara Essex's 'Bad Girls of the Bible', discussing women's lives in Biblical times and how traditional interpretations may have missed a few things. Read more about this 'non traditional' Bible Study series in the Herald News by clicking here
