We the people of Plainfield Congregational Church United Church of Christ seek to be a community of Christians who celebrate - and live in - openness to the voice of the still-speaking God. We celebrate the beauty and uniqueness of each expression of God's diverse family, as well as our oneness in Christ.
As we seek to live out our mission, we welcome into our community persons of every gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression. We welcome people of any age, race, nationality, economic or social status, faith background, marital status, family structure, and ability; we invite all to share in the life, leadership, ministries, fellowship, worship, sacraments, responsibilities, blessings, and joy of our congregation as we grow together in faith and love.
Our vision is to cultivate kindness and compassion towards our fellow neighbor, be a place of welcome and respite, and strive for justice and equality.
WHAT WE DO
We worship God. We cultivate real relationships with one another. We seek to serve God in ways that are meaningful, relevant, and impact our surrounding world.
Community is everything to us. We take our relationship with God and one another to the next level with a variety of church events, potlucks, and community building events.
