Tuesday July 14th
It is our first night of VBS and our hearts are full of love that you are here. Each of us participates in VBS because we love God and are called to love you, our neighbors. Tonight we will be working on the traits of Love, Kindness, and Goodness. The bible story lesson is about the Parable of the Good Samaritan. Our activity tonight is crafts and we have something for everyone with our kindness rocks and fruit ring necklaces. The song we are practicing tonight is the song "Fruit of the Spirit" by Uncle Charlie (used by permission from Uncle Charlie directly). We will hear more from one of the children supported by the Global Ministries mission. We will finish off the night with learning about working on your journals and "Fruit of the Spirit" family jars.
Jesus teaches us through his many parables. Remember that a parable is a story with a moral lesson. Jesus shares many stories about for us to learn it is how we treat each other with our words and actions that God cares about - not our jobs or where we were born.
